After a 4 day test at Cartagena the team moved to the mountains and the Guadix circuit, dawn broke on day one and a heavy snow fall had put the brakes on the momentum gained over the last few days.
The team made a quick decision not to wait for the weather to turn and headed back to Cartagena for guaranteed warm weather and the decision paid of in full.
Dan Linfoot carried on where he had left off with some impressive consistent lap times finishing the test one day earlier and happy with his bike and team.
Neil Hodgson however was still working out his new bike and needed more track time understand the feeling of the unique crossplane engine.
Day two proved crucial to Neil and his times came much easier, his confidence level became much stronger and he now feels more than happy to pack up and move to Brands Hatch for the first round of the British Championship.

Dan Linfoot 1.34.1
“I am so pleased we got out of the mountains! I think the snowed melted but it was still freezing! Back at Cartagena in the warm sun was a great plan.
I managed to get straight back into and good pace, we had new engines that took a bit of time to settle in and they felt strong, all in all it has been my best ever winter test and I am now going home to start training for Brands Hatch”

Neil Hodgson 1.34.2
“It was looking a bit dodgy up in the snow and we definitely did not want to sit around in 2 degrees waiting for the track to dry, coming back to Cartagena worked well and I was able to just do some miles and work out this weird bike! The bike has to be ridden gently! I get a good time and think right I’ll push a bit harder and go slower every time! Pretty frustrating but I am going to have to keeping working on it. Dan has been great all weekend and really helped me keep focused, I think we are both ready to get the job done, bring on Brands”

“Apart from the hiccup with the weather at Guadix the test has been perfect, Dan clicked with the new bike very early so his lap times and data were crucial to helping Neil.
Neil kept working away trying to keep calm, this bike has to ridden with a lot of discipline and patience, eventually Neil settled down and his times started to come so he might stop being so miserable!.
That’s it for us, we have some PR duties to fulfil in the next two weeks then it is on to Brands Hatch, we have a real buzz about our team, hopefully 2010 will be a fun year for us all, well done to Dan and Neil they have both lifted my team ready for the battle”
