 The Claims Place is delighted to announce that we will be sponsoring British Superbike rider Graeme Gowland in 2012.Graeme has a motor racing background spanning over 20 years despite the fact he is only 26 years old. Graeme first put his leg over a motorcycle aged just 3 and as soon as he was old enough he took to the race track at the tender age of 6. The next 13 years saw Graeme compete in National, International and World motocross events, winning hundreds of trophies and lifting the 2004 British Under 21 Motocross Championship at the age of 18. In 2005, aged 19, he changed direction and took on a new challenge when he began racing a road motorcycle on a race circuit. From the onset it was obvious he had a natural talent and he quickly progressed onto the national scene in just a few months. The 2007 season saw Graeme lift his first title when he was crowned the Spanish Supersport Champion, he then moved onto the World stage in 2008 before coming back to Britain for 2009 to make his debut in the British Superbike Championship. The year was plagued by injuries, due to his inexperience and a difficult aggressive motorcycle, but Graeme still finished a respectable 15th overall. A lack of sponsorship meant Graeme would step down to the Supersport ranks again in 2010 in a private family run team where he really proved his talent taking a win and several podiums against highly funded teams. The 2011 season was a very successful one for Graeme as he made the move back up into the Superbike class with Team WFR and regularly ran in the top 10 against factory Superbikes. Graeme will continue his relationship with Team WFR for 2012 in the British Superbike Championship, renowned as being the best domestic Superbike Championship in the world, and with new rules coming into effect in 2012 this really could be Graeme’s year to shine.
