The BMW Boxer Twins Bible by Ian Falloon

The latest of the ‘Bible’ series from Veloce publishing, written by well known motorcycle author and historian Ian Falloon.

Like all the other titles in the series it details the models development, has year by year revision listed and technical appraisals. As you might expect you can find out literally everything you need to know from frame and engine numbers to carb jetting and every conceivable dimension.

It coves all the air-cooled models from 1970 -196 except the R45 and 65 and the GS range and will enable any owner or perspective buyer to look at a machine and be able to check for authenticity.

As with all in the series, this hardback is well laid out and makes good use of factory photos and line drawings slotted in with new photography. Obviously period photos used in the racing section are exactly that. The only ting that did surprise me was the lack of coverage given to the police machines, which during the period covered, literally dominated the public sector market!

Despite this minor point, if you are an owner or looking to become one it is a must have as it is for those like me that need a reliable reference work. Once again well worth the £29.99 to have such a comprehensive work available. ISBN 978 1 84584 168 3
