Spark Plugging The Classics by Stan DibbenThis small A5 booklet should never see a bookshelf as its place lies firmly in the toolbox of the classic bike enthusiast where it will become as essential as the plug spanner itself. Come to think of it at £4.00 it’s cheaper than the spanner and can save a fortune in either fuel or blown engines.

It may only have 16 pages in colour, but this booklet contains everything most classic owners need to know about spark plugs.
The author Stan Dibben, (an ex World Sidecar champion), spent 25 years working in the spark plug industry working on the development of the plug dispensing advice when many of today’s current classics were everyday machines. There is little that Stan does not know and he has now put it down in an easily understandable format to help those running classics to get them running spot on.

He details the types of plug available, the difference between hot and cold plugs, and the relationship to the ignition system such as coil or magneto. What most will find helpful are the colour images showing all the likely states of spark plugs and the remedies suggested to cure the faults. At the rear is also a table of the common plug equivalents, showing hotter and colder plugs.

What can you say it is just a must have tool for the price of a magazine! ISBN 978 0 9556595 3 9
