Mountain Milestone by David WrightMountain Milestone is a soft-back publication celebrating 100 years of the TT Mountain Course written by Manx resident David Wright who has written many excellent books about the TT and racing in the Island as well as some on Vincent motorcycles.

Although the event itself celebrated its centennial in 2007, this year was 100 years since the course arrived as we now know it, with the mountain section being included to further test man and machine.

In 192 pages, Wright takes a slow lap around the island stopping at the various landmarks and points of interest around the 37.5 miles to tell the story of the races, using not only facts and figures, but anecdotes and even quotes from riders.
To go with these are some excellent images, both period black and white, but also modern colour plates and they blend well with the well laid out text in this Lily Publication .

Once again, as with his previous works, Wright has come up with new interesting facts and information rather than rehashing well-known news stories and this helps keep you interested and makes the A4 sized book easily stand out from the competition.

Even if like me, you are a fan of the TT and have numerous books about the racing, you will find lots new in this excellent work which will compliment your existing library. Well worth the £19:75 asking price. ISBN 978 1 907945 04 5
