As the title suggests this is Enduro riding in the Extreme. The Black Crown Quarry in Lancashire provided a five mile course that was tough enough for guys and girls on proper one day trials bikes.Having watched them struggle on climbs and descents with rocks, water, tyres and logs strategically placed to make things even tougher, you just had to wonder how the competitors on ordinary Enduro bikes were going to cope. But, cope they did, some with the help of marshals and spectators braving the elements to watch masterly displays of riding across some pretty inhospitable terrain. Physical fatigue shows over the three hours they are riding and you get tired just watching. As you would expect these days helmet cam footage is mixed in with the static cameras to give a riders eye view of the course that would break most of us after just one lap, if we made it that far! Interviews with the riders also give you a good insight into what is required to compete at this level. As ever a good quality presentation from Duke Marketing and well worth watching whatever your particular two-wheeled interest just to see what can be achieved by skilled riders on rough terrain. Apart from that it is a very entertaining way of spending 92 minutes making it good value at £16.99 Ref:DMDVD2320 Available from all good DVD outlets or direct from Duke at www.DukeVideo.com Review by Ian Kerr
